Propylene prices quote stable in Asia

Despite weaker crude values, propylene prices were assessed flat in Asia on Monday.

An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, "Prices remained unchanged on the back of a decelerated purchase pulse in the Asian region."

On Monday, FOB Korea propylene prices were assessed at the USD 780-790/mt levels, steady from Friday’s assessed levels.

Meanwhile, CFR China propylene prices on Monday were assessed at the USD 820-830/mt levels, unchanged from Friday.

In plant news, Daqing Refining Chemical is in plans to resume operations at its No.2 Polypropylene (PP) unit on April 22, 2025. The unit was shut for maintenance on April 6, 2025. Located in Daqing, China, the No.2 unit has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year.
