Styrene monomer (SM) prices slip in Asia

On Wednesday, SM prices trended downward in Asia.

An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Prices declined due to subdued buying sentiments in the Asian markets.”

On Wednesday, FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at the USD 905-915/mt levels, down USD (-25/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels.

CFR China SM prices on Wednesday were assessed at the USD 915-925/mt levels, a day on day drop of USD (-25/mt).

Meanwhile, upstream benzene prices on Wednesday were assessed at the USD 720-730/mt FOB Korea levels, a fall of USD (-15/mt) from Tuesday.
