Propylene prices tumble across Asia on weak downstream demand
On Thursday, despite firmer crude oil prices, propylene prices tumbled across Asia as weak downstream demand, ample supply, and cautious buying outweighed support from higher feedstock costs.
FOB Korea propylene prices were assessed at USD 845-855/mt levels, plunging by USD (-80/mt) from Wednesday's assessed levels.
CFR China propylene prices were assessed at USD 875-885/mt levels, sharply lower by USD (-80/mt) from the previous day.
