This week, Polypropylene prices in Europe witnessed mixed trends, with spot assessments coming under pressure across grades while contract assessments in most countries moved higher.
An industry source in Europe, on condition of anonymity, informed a Polymerupdate team member, "The market is in a complex phase, with spot values softening as buyers remain cautious across homopolymer and block copolymer grades. Contract settlements in France, Germany, and Italy are rising. Offers of Chinese-origin material have emerged, but doubts over their ability to offset reduced imports have weighed on sentiment. Despite easing spot values, most contract benchmarks are moving higher as producers push for increased settlements.”
