This week, PVC prices in Asia showed a blend of declines in select markets and firmness elsewhere.
An industry source in Asia, on condition of anonymity, informed a Polymerupdate team member, "In various parts of the region, prices for PVC have shifted downward in some instances, reflecting adjustments in trading patterns, while other areas experienced no change amid steady conditions. This divergence highlights the uneven market sentiment currently at play. Buyers appear to be holding back in anticipation of further developments."
In Far East Asia, Suspension grade PVC prices remained unchanged to the previous period, with the range holding steady at 800-900 per metric ton on a CFR basis.
In Southeast Asia, Suspension PVC prices dipped across the board, USD (-30/mt) from earlier in the week, now positioned at 820-920 per metric ton on a CFR basis.
In Vietnam, ethylene-based PVC was offered at the USD 820/mt levels, and carbide grade was offered at the USD 745/mt level. Other Asian producers have offered PVC resin suspension grade at the USD 920/mt levels.
In India, Suspension PVC prices exhibited a mixed shift, USD (NC/-60/mt) when compared to the last reporting period, resulting in a new range of 870-930 per metric ton on a CFR basis.
In India, Chinese cargoes were offered at the USD 870-880/mt levels. Carbide grade was offered at the USD 820-830/mt levels. Other Asian producers have offered PVC resin suspension grade at the USD 930/mt levels.
In Pakistan, Suspension PVC prices slid noticeably, USD (-30/mt) in relation to the prior week, with assessments now at 900-970 per metric ton on CFR terms.
In Sri Lanka, Suspension PVC prices moderated slightly, USD (-20/mt) versus the preceding week, settling into a range of 930-960 per metric ton on a CFR basis.
In Bangladesh, Suspension PVC prices receded steadily, USD (-30/mt) on a week-over-week basis, now assessed at 950-1020 per metric ton on a CFR basis.
