An industry source in Asia, on condition of anonymity, informed a Polymerupdate team member, "LLDPE prices declined as weak energy values reduced cost support amid easing geopolitical tensions ahead of expected U.S.–Iran talks. In China, sellers reportedly lowered ex-factory prices amid weak demand, further dampening sentiment. Buying activity remained cautious, with participants limiting purchases amid expectations of further corrections. A sharp drop in the Chinese futures market reinforced the bearish trend, keeping LLDPE prices soft. Overall, demand remained weak, and the market stayed in a wait-and-see mode.”
In Far East Asia, LLDPE Film prices were assessed at USD 1150-1200/mt CFR levels, sharply lower by USD (-20/-50/mt) from the previous week.
In China, overseas producers have offered LLDPE film grades in the range of USD 1150-1200/mt for May 2026 shipment.
In Southeast Asia, LLDPE Film prices were assessed at USD 1380-1500/mt CFR levels, a week-on-week decrease of USD (-20/-50/mt).
In Vietnam, overseas producers have offered LLDPE film grades in the range of USD 1380-1500/mt for May 2026 shipment.

In India, LLDPE Film prices were assessed at USD 1470-1550/mt CFR levels, sharply lower by USD (-30/-50/mt) from the previous week.
A domestic industry source informed a Polymerupdate team member, "Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced price protection in LLDPE, w.e.f. April 8 to April 22, 2026 (up to 0600 hrs on April 23, 2026) for both domestic and deemed sales. The company has also announced an incentive of Rs.2/kg basic on all PE lifting (DI/DE) up to April 22, 2026.”
