Ethylene prices ease in Asia
Last week, ethylene prices declined in the Asian region.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Ethylene prices extended their downward trend as supply remained ample in the region. Comfortable inventory levels prompted importers to offer discounts to ease sales pressure, while buying interest stayed subdued amid limited downstream demand recovery.”
CFR Northeast Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 690–700/mt levels, a fall of USD (-5/mt) from the previous week.
CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 670–680/mt levels, a week-on-week decrease of USD (-5/mt).
FOB Korea ethylene prices were assessed at USD 645–655/mt levels while FOB Japan prices were assessed at USD 640–650/mt levels, both down by USD (-5/mt) from the previous week.
