Ethylene prices drift lower in Asia
Last week, ethylene prices dropped in the Asian region.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Asian ethylene prices extended their decline as buyers sought greater leverage in negotiations. With supply remaining ample, sellers trimmed offers to ease inventory pressure and stimulate buying interest.”
CFR Northeast Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 695–705/mt levels, a week-on-week decline of USD (-5/mt).
CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 675–685/mt levels, lower by USD (-5/mt) from the previous week.
FOB Korea ethylene prices were assessed at USD 650–660/mt levels, while FOB Japan prices were assessed at USD 645–655/mt levels, both week-on-week decreased by USD (-5/mt).
