This week, PS prices rose in Europe.
A European industry source told a Polymerupdate team member, “European polystyrene prices gained, driven by higher offer levels from overseas producers. The rise in styrene monomer contract values further supported the price increase.”

In the spot markets, GPPS prices were assessed at Euro 1260-1270/mt FD Northwest Europe levels, while HIPS prices were assessed at Euro 1360-1370/mt FD North West Europe levels, both marginally increased by Euro (+5/mt). EPS prices were assessed at Euro 1470-1480/mt FD Northwest Europe levels, up Euro (+5/mt) from last week.

In the contract markets, GPPS prices were assessed at Euro 1350-1355/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE Italy levels, both higher by Euro (+5/mt) from the previous week. GPPS prices were assessed at Euro 1350-1355/mt FD NWE France levels, a rise of Euro (+5/mt) from last week. Meanwhile, GPPS prices were assessed at GBP 1170-1175/mt FD NWE UK levels, a week-on-week fall of GBP (-5/mt).
In the contract markets, HIPS prices were assessed at Euro 1450-1455/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE Italy levels, both increased by Euro (+5/mt) from last week. HIPS prices were assessed at Euro 1450-1455/mt FD NWE France levels, a rise of Euro (+5/mt) from the previous week. Meanwhile, HIPS prices were assessed at GBP 1255-1260/mt FD NWE UK levels, down GBP (-5/mt) from last week.
In the contract markets, EPS prices were assessed at Euro 1855-1860/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE Italy levels, both week-on-week higher by Euro (+5/mt). EPS prices were assessed at Euro 1855-1860/mt FD NWE France levels, a gain of Euro (+5/mt) from last week. Meanwhile, EPS prices were assessed at GBP 1610-1615/mt FD NWE UK, a week-on-week decrease of GBP (-5/mt).
The European styrene contract price for January 2026 has been settled at Euro 1230/mt CIF Northwest Europe levels. This price represents an increase of Euro (+21/mt) from its December 2025 settlement levels.
