Styrene monomer (SM) prices fall in Asia
On Tuesday, SM prices declined in Asia due to weak buying sentiments in the region.
The price fall was also attributed to bearish upstream energy and feedstock benzene values.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 810-820/mt levels, lower by USD (-5/mt) from Monday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 820-830/mt levels, down USD (-5/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, feedstock benzene prices were assessed at USD 670-680/mt FOB Korea levels, a day-on-day decline of USD (-10/mt).
