Styrene monomer (SM) prices journey southward in Asia
On Tuesday, despite stronger energy values, SM prices edged lower in Asia.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, "Prices were assessed lower due to softened buying momentum in the Asian markets."
On Tuesday, FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at the USD 890-900/mt levels, lower USD (-20/mt) from Monday.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at the USD 900-910/mt levels, a decrease of USD (-20/mt) from Monday’s assessed levels.
Meanwhile, upstream benzene prices on Tuesday were assessed stable at the USD 730-740/mt FOB Korea levels.
