Styrene monomer (SM) prices decline in Asia
Despite a gain in energy values, SM prices witnessed a fall in Asia on Monday.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, "Prices dropped on the back of bearish buying sentiments in the Asian market."
On Monday, FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at the USD 1000-1010/mt levels, down USD (-10/mt) from Friday's assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices on Monday were assessed at the USD 1020-1030/mt levels, a decline of USD (-10/mt) from Friday.
Meanwhile, upstream benzene prices on Monday were assessed at the USD 885-895/mt FOB Korea levels, unchanged from Friday.
