All participants enthusiastically cleaned the beach area, collecting 50 bags of trash.

Hendra Kurniawan Wijaya, Senior Manager of Operation & Manufacture of TPPI, stated that the beach cleaning event is part of the company's environment commitment and is one of TPPI's CSR programs. "TPPI is committed to preserving the environment and the community around the company. This program will be sustainable and requires synergy with the government, community, and companies in the Jenu Subdistrict," he said.

The Coastal Clean Up also serves as a campaign to raise awareness about caring for the coastal environment by not littering and preserving mangrove trees around the beach. Through this activity, it is hoped that the community will become more aware of the importance of environmental preservation. Rusdi, Chairman of the Tanjung Awar-Awar Cooperative, stated, "Since TPPI started empowering our group, we have become more active and involved in environmental care activities. One of them is beach cleaning. Moreover, we have been assisted with the fishers’ washing facilities construction."

After the beach cleaning, the event continued with a symbolic tree planting ceremony by the Senior Manager of Operation & Manufacture of TPPI, the Head of Tasikharjo Village, the Military District Commander of Jenu, and a representative from the Jenu Subdistrict Government.

Damuri, the Head of Tasikharjo Village, expressed gratitude for the collaboration between the two companies in preserving the environment in Tasikharjo Village. "We, as representatives of Tasikharjo Village Government, express our gratitude for TPPI and Pertamina's initiative in beach cleaning. Panduri Beach is a beautiful beach in Tasikharjo Village and is well-known nationally for tourism. With this event, we are more enthusiastic about creating a shining, clean, beautiful, safe, and religious Tasikharjo Village," he said.

Trans-Pacific Petrochemical Indotama Cares for the Community and the Beach

PT Trans-Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI), through the Community Health Improvement Program, encourages the creativity and innovation of posyandu cadres from Purworejo Village and the wives of fishermen from Tasikharjo Village by conducting training on healthy food preparation as one of the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) for posyandu. This activity took place at Panduri Beach, Tasikharjo Village, Jenu Subdistrict, Tuban Regency, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

The Community Health Improvement CSR program focuses on fulfilling nutritional needs through PMT for toddlers and elderly, which has been consistently distributed to posyandu in Ring 1 villages, including Remen Village, Tasikharjo Village, and Purworejo Village. The distribution of PMT greatly assists posyandu, which serves as a health maintenance facility conducted by, for, and with relevant officers’ guidance.

Overtime, the understanding of nutrition has also evolved from the initial "4 healthy 5 perfect" concept to achieving balanced nutrition. Naturely, this requires adjustments regarding the mechanism of fulfilling nutritional needs for toddlers and elderly. This socialization and training serve as an initial preparation for posyandu cadres to determine and create their own flexible PMT menus that fulfill the nutritional needs of toddlers and elderly in each posyandu in the future.

In his speech, the Acting CSR & PR Section Head, Mas Yudha Goutama, stated, "Activities like this are not something we do just once. In the future, socialization and capacity building will be carried out continuously so that the community, especially posyandu cadres, can continue to innovate and improve ways to fulfill balanced nutrition."

The innovative results of the training participants in making PMT are diverse and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. In terms of appearance, taste, and efficiency of local raw materials, such as seafood protein, add value to processed foods. Tourists at Panduri Beach also participated in evaluating PMT with positive responses and deemed them suitable for commercial sale.

"The posyandu program implementation cannot run entirely on its own. It needs support from other parties, especially companies around Tasikharjo Village. With this training, we hope that someday the community groups can make their own processed foods up to the catering level and collaborate with companies," said Damuri, the Head of Tasikharjo Village.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
